Mahasthangarh
Bogra is a northen district of Bangladesh .In the Rajshahi Division it is called the city of north Bengal. There are many historical palace of Bogra but Mahasthangarh is the most popular historical & visiting palace of Bangladesh. In history "Mahasthangarh" is the ancient city from 3rd century B.C. In bangla history we know that Mahasthangart was provincial capital of the Mauryans, the Guptas, the palas & the feudal Hindu kings of later period. The last king "Poshu Rum"was very cruel ,his kingdom was distorted when the Muslim religion established.There are many attractions in one place altogether and they all have their interesting myths & stories. For example, shila Dev's Ghat is a place where Shila Devi daughter of the ruling King,committed suided when the city was attacked by the Muslim leaders who eventually conquered it.In myths we also can know the Bashor Ghar of "Behula". Local legend describes it as the bashor ghor or wedding pavilion of Behula,the daughter of a rich Bengali trader, whose husband was tragically bitten by a snake on the very night of her wedding but later brought back to life by the goddes Manosa. In concluted it can be said that the palace of Mahasthangarh is a mysterious palace for its myths & its historical event.
