The Lalbagh kella

Though a small country, Bangladesh has many world Heritage sites, Lalbagh kella is one of them. Lalbagh kella is the most popular and renowned historical place of  Bangladesh. Lalbag kella is located at the older part of Dhaka. It is an incomplete Mughal palace fortress at Buriganga river in the southwestern part of Dhaka, Bangladesh.By history we know Mughal emperor Aurangzeb's third son Subuhdar Muhammad Azam Shah started to build it in 1678.He could not finish building it as he was called to return in Delhi. He was replaced with his brother Sahisla Khan who stayed there till 1688.But it was said that this fort was not lucky for Sahista Khan, because his daughter Pori Bibi died there in 1684. Sahista Khan left this fort incomplete. Lallbagh fort consists of three buildings -
* The mosque (west side )
*The tomb of Pori Bibi ( middle of east-west of the font)
*The Diwan-i-aam palace (east side)
The mosque was used for prayer in that time and still in use. The beautiful structure and the handy work there are great. The Diwan -i-aam is the greatest part of Lalbagh fontt.it used as office in that time.Diwan-i-aam is the place from where the Mughal ruler gave directions to the ordinary people once in a week. There are numerous statutes throughout beautifully maintained gardens of Lalbagh fort visitors to the intriguing district of Dhaka in Bangladersh will find many interesting place to visit Lalbagh font certainly qualifies as a place of  interest and is well worth exploring At last we can say that it is not only a historical place it is also a beautiful place.
